Elden Ring AI mod: a reported offline CS2 conversion
Last updated:
This page summarizes cs2-conversion-of-elden-ring-offline-native-rust-dll-via-me3.md. The contributor marks the project working. It is an offline, single-player conversion report; we have not tested it ourselves.
Approach: a native Rust DLL via me3
The note describes a native Rust DLL loaded into Elden Ring by me3, together with rebuilt regulation parameters. The DLL renders models through its own D3D12 renderer and draws UI with ImGui. Behavior changes use the eldenring crate and parameter rows.
This is a native-hook route. CS2 is not running alongside Elden Ring. Reported features include CS2-style guns and movement, a third-person agent model, grenades, HUD, buy menu, inventory, skins, item inspection and spirit springs on foot. It converts content locally from the user’s own CS2 installation. Source: note introduction and Route and why.
Reported versions and environment
The setup and metadata record:
- Elden Ring 1.17.1, executable 2.7.1.0, Steam build 25080141, regulation 1.17.1, on CachyOS Linux through Proton.
- A CS2 installation from October 2026 as the local content source.
- me3 0.13.0 with a dedicated offline profile and a separate save file.
- Rust 1.98 and cargo-xwin, fromsoftware-rs 0.14.0, and vendored/patched hudhook 0.9.3.
- WitchyBND 3.0.1.0 for parameters and Source2Viewer-CLI 20.0 for content conversion.
These are the contributor’s recorded versions. The report explicitly leaves other Elden Ring versions and native Windows unverified.
Offline scope and save separation
The note uses a dedicated me3 offline launch profile with the separate save ER0000.cs2er.sl2. The ordinary Steam launch remains the untouched game. Its wrapper temporarily moves an existing mod loader aside and restores it after the session. This describes that project’s isolation choices; do not assume your own launcher or save setup already has them. Source: setup and metadata.
Back up saves before changes and keep the work single-player and offline. Online play is out of scope for this guide.
What was verified, and what remains open
The user tested every reported feature in the real game, while the agent reviewed the DLL logs. The contributor also records offline renderer/UI harnesses, native movement and recoil checks, and round-trip checks of rebuilt parameters. The note’s working label is supported by that reported evidence, rather than by tests from this site. Source: Verification.
The report leaves the exact internal trigger for scripted fall death as a hypothesis, even though a tested gravity-control change resolved the symptom. Blocking certain equipment and level-up screens remained under investigation, and the case-opening view used a 2D zoom instead of a full 3D scene. Source: Open questions.
Start with one offline slice
Install Universal Modder, then use the engine-research template to identify your installation before planning a change. The note says the scanner mislabeled this setup as Unity because of an artbook folder; the actual game was native Dantelion. Check the evidence instead of trusting one label. Source: Setup.
Use the port template for one observable mechanic, with save backups and a small test first. Merge games with AI and the mashup skill explain route selection. The linked note supplies technical build context; this guide does not invent an installation command.
Frequently asked questions
Can this conversion be used online?
No. Online play is out of scope. This report describes an offline single-player conversion with a separate me3 profile and save.
Does the working status cover Windows or other patches?
No. The note says the build was run through Proton and leaves Windows and other game versions unverified.
Does CS2 need to run alongside Elden Ring?
No. The reported route is a native Rust DLL in Elden Ring, with locally converted content, rather than a live two-game passthrough.
